Is daylight saving a UK only thing

How many other countries have daylight saving where they mercilessly rob every person of an hours sleep once a year!

Incidentally tonight is the night we put our clocks forward. When I put mine forward it fell off the mantelpiece!

Do you think that daylight saving is a good idea.

The light evenings don't last long enough and before we know it the longest day in June will be upon us and then it'll be going back the other way! Still, nice light evenings ahead, BBQs, long seafront walks, beer gardens............hmmm!
