Installing front speakers

I would like to install some new 6.5 inch speakers in my ride. Is it worth the risk of wrecking the trim to save the cost of a pro installation? obviously i will need to remove the front door trims. but i have been told that i will most likely break them and they will never fit right again. My car is a 95 121. Also if someone could recomend a set of 6x9s for the rear of the car. Any help is much appreciated.

Get some from a scrap yard and fit the speakers to them and install. It is a zero risk then and you get a second attempt :wink:

A pro would do the job in an hour or two. It would take a mere mortal the best part of an afternoon and without the proper tools it can make a real mess. For the sake of a bit of dosh I would probably go with a pro install. But Xaviers idea was pretty good though.
