Shiny. Very shiny. BMC Carbon airbox. 8) Me want one. But...

The manufacturer doesn't recommend it for road use.

Has anyone tried one of these on a road car? Are they ok, or should I stick with the tried and tested K&N 57i?

Thanks guys

I would hesitate to put an induction kit on a 1.2 engine. The loss of low end torque can make it a real pain. Drill some holes in the bottom of the air box for a cheap effective compromise and duct a cold air feed to it.

Induction on the punto is a great success if you fit the correct one I can name a company that design es for fiats specifically but as I have just joined up I dont know if its appropriate to do so.. mods please advise :?

Mine was designed for the stilo 1.6 and I had the prototype fitted to my car and it made a 13bhp increase on a rolling road

You can recommend a company - we've no problems with that. It's just posts that promote rival sites or people that always recommend the same company (especially if its one they work for!) that we remove.

If you are a regular quality contributer you can get away with pretty much anything here (except for bad language or anti social comments!)

Well for all you peeps it is GSR engineering he is a specialist in his field of tuning and works with many cars but at the moment is working with fiats and alfas and got an Alfa gtv to 350bhp with one of his inductions and remapping ..he is a one man band and doesn't employ anyone but has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to tuning :D
