The opportunity arises for an upgrade to your car. Someone loves your car so much that you have been offered silly money well above the odds to sell it to them.

Now then,
1) Do you shout out loud all of the sentimental reasons why this is never happening and let the cash buyer down?
2) Do you take him/her up on their offer and go hunting through the Exchange & Mart or specialist car magazine for that dream car?

If you opt for option 2, then what would be your preferred choice of car? Before the strange people come along with their "You can't have this or you can't have that nonsense" anything goes here, it's your choice! So American Muscle, Japanese fast car, Italian exotica, German thorough bred, British thorough bred, Swedish outrageous ground ballistic missile; it's your choice!

Definitely a hypo question as doubt it will happen to me But one never knows so I would have to have an M1,2 OR 3 in mind.

I think i'd take the cash and get a Porsche gt3 and Fiat 500 abarth. Then apply some serious mods.

Then I'll buy one of these:

2002 Impreza S202. hmm.....

Or one of these:

Tesla Model S.

Or both.

Yes, I'll take both please :)

I admit that if I'd spend loads of time and money on my car it would be extremely hard to part with it.

The reason behind the question buddy is that the other day on the BBC news online, there was an article about a chap who use to work at Ford in Dagenham, he owns a Cortina MK2 1600E with only 700 miles on the clock and he was being offered 93K for it; the guy said no

Wow! Headcase! Though I suppose it's only going to go up in value the longer he has it so I guess it depends how old he is or if he's leaving it as some form of inheritance

I often thought about selling a kidney so I could afford to save a Ford Escort Cosworth RS from being scrapped. This bloke lived around the corner from me when I was with my Ex, he had a S1 Escort turbo and a Sierra Cosworth and all were rotten and covered in green mold. It was literally heart breaking.

It's worth what people will pay for it tbf and if someone's just offered him that much for it I doubt the price will plummet any time soon

The rarer something is the bigger the premium price it Will carry.

The ultra low mileage is the cars real advantage here.

I guess it depends if you've taken your project as far as you want and are getting bored with it and something else peaks your interest.

Personally I think I would stick with the car unless I got a really really silly offer and could get back to what I had easily with the money by starting over again and have some profit left.
