I am trying to get a shorter final drive ratio, any ideas???

You could simply alter the wheel size, that is the easiest way to change the final drive ratio.

Hello and welcome. You could probably fit a similar 1.0 gearbox, it's weaker but the ratios are shorter if I recall correctly.
