As I stated in post #23 Blue tinted bulbs will filter the blue light out. It makes the bulbs appear much brighter and whiter.
This post is going on a bit. I shall summarise the main points made and hopefully we can progress in a more positive and constructive manner.
The only bulbs that legally look blue are HID, these are only blue from an angle due to the colour temperature of the light. Just as older bulbs were yellow, then we had white and now we have moved to the upper end of the white spectrum and a blue hue can be perceived.
Any other blue or in reality dark purple tint to give blue light should result in an MOT Fail. (I know some testers ignore or don't notice this.)
Please can we avoid any further personal attacks in this thread. If Chris accepts the 'legal' issues surrounding having blue lights then we should respect that, as HDI has, and offer advice on how he can achieve this.
