LHD - HGTC Package - The Ferrari 575 Superamerica was designed by Pininfarina as an exclusive low volume V12 Ferrari berlinetta featuring a highly original, innovative take on the convertible concept. The Superamerica was the first production car to adopt an innovative rotating roof movement in combination with electrochromic technology developed exclusively for glass surfaces of these dimensions, with Saint Gobain. The Fioravanti-patented rotating roof concept allows the Superamerica driver to electrically drop the top in 10 seconds flat, making it the world's fastest convertible berlinetta (201 MPH top speed). The Superamerica's unusual electric roof was dubbed Revocromico to highlight the unique combination of its rearward rotation movement and electrochromic technology. It has a carbon-fibre structure and the boot capacity remains unchanged whether the roof is open or closed too. The glass rear window also acts as a highly effective wind deflector when the roof is open. The use of electrochromic glass means that the driver can completely control the level of light entering the cockpit. There are five tint levels available and the glass can go from dark to light in under a minute, at the touch of a button. Derived from the 575M Maranello, the Superamerica was enhanced to deliver 540 hp. This very tastefully finished LHD example was delivered to its first private owner in Rome on the 28th April 2005 and is a rare "HGTC" example. Grigio Silverstone over a Tan Hide interior with Daytona Style seats marks just the start of the car's extensive specification which includes the aforementioned HGTC ("Handling Grand Turismo Competizione") which includes Carbon Ceramic brakes, a firmer suspension system, and "Snaps" style sports exhaust. Additionally this car was specified with a Tan and Nero split leather dash, Electric Daytona seats, Becker 6 Disc CD changer, Argento Brake calipers located behind the Superamerica Split Rims, Scuderia Wingshields and F1 Gearbox. Today this exceptional example has covered under 5,600 Miles from new and presents superbly. In December 2016, it received a comprehensive service by official Ferrari dealer Rosso Monza and as such wants for nothing. Accompanied by its original books, tools, tyre pump and tonneau cover. This Superamerica is available to view immediately at our showrooms located just outside London and is currently undergoing full UK registration.
