RHD - UK Supplied - Launched during October 1981's Paris Salon, Ferrari's 512i BB most notably marked the arrival of fuel injection on Ferrari's Flat-12. Replacing the familiar Weber carbs (seen on almost every previous Ferrari model) fuel injection not only improved an engine's flexibility but made it much easier to maintain as well as prolonging the lifetime of the engine. The BBi remained in production for almost three years. A few minor detail changes were made to the bodywork with clear reflectors inserted into the front bumper and supplementary driving lights now exposed in the grille. There were also new wing mirrors. 1007 fuel injected Boxers were completed of which just 43 were right-hand drive UK variants making this the rarest variation of the RHD Boxers. This took entire BB production to just over 2300. This UK RHD example is noted as the last RHD example delivered to the United Kingdom and was delivered new on the 1st of August, 1984 to Mr Martin Dawes via Ferrari dealer Stratton's of Wilmslow Ltd. DK Engineering first encountered this superb example in 1987 when we supplied the car to Mr Hughes Jacquin with just 18,000 recorded Miles. DK continued to maintain the car for Mr Jacquin until we sold the car again on the 10th of June, 1989, to Mr Didier Pirhoni with 20,000 recorded Miles. It was later purchased in January, 1999, by Mr Jonathan Faiman, the co-founder of Ocado and later moved to Mr Alex Sparks, the former Managing Director of Blockbuster with just 32,251 Miles covered. Mr Sparks would keep the car until November, 2007, when it was purchased by another client of DK via ourselves. In 2009, DK completed a most comprehensive major service as well as a sympathetic re-trim. DK once again sold the car in November 2010 to join a substantial collection of low mileage Ferraris. Under its latest tenure, it has been used sparingly and has been stored in the customer's own museum for which DK are responsible for. Today this RHD example presents superbly in the stunning combination of Grigio Metallic over a Rosso and Nero Hide Interior and comes accompanied by its original and exceptionally rare book pack as well as a most complete history file including a comprehensive service record.
