What is the oldest car you've driven?

I had the pleasure of driving a morris minor, the lights were terrible, steering was vague, brakes were negligible - old cars are uncomfortable death traps IMO. I had a great time though and got lots of admiring looks.

Oh and what's with the stick indicators?

As long as you drive the car in the way they were driven when made, then there isn't a problem. Drive your present modern car in 40 years time and you will say the same thing :)

It had two levers (choke related I think) that you had to move in and out to get it to run right, I was a wreck after my first 20 metres or so .V(

Oldest I ever drove and owned was a '59 Ford Prefect. Great car but daft vacuum driven wipers, the faster you drove the slower they went.

my 1st car was an Escort mk2, 1978, 4 door 1.3L, I thought it was great!, brought a speedograph pancake filter as my first ever mod and been modding ever since, my current oldie is the coupe and a grand old gent at 26 years old lol but it drives great and had a few puzzled looks when overtaking some of today's "modern sports cars" |B

My 1st car was a Morris Z ute with a 850cc ?? sidevalve motor. It was a 3 seater with a squash with a canvas hood and side curtains and a wooden tray. Still amazed how I didn't kill myself with the antics I got up to.

Sidevalve, that's not something you hear of nowadays!

Ive driven a few 50s cars and apart from the top cars of the time they were mostly appalling compared to later cars

first car was a 1949 morris minor low light wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. I now enjoy driving my 1969 mgb gt great car just have to keep the spanners handy
