I am wondering, would it be possible to do an engine swap where the original engine is removed and the new one is put into the back of the car? If so what is the best way to start going about it. The car doesn't need to be road legal.

Anything is possible, the only limit for a project are just two things: imagination and the wallet.

Thanks for getting back to me, I think it might be cheaper to just buy another car for this project rather than trying to put an engine in the rear.

You just have to be careful that one is not in reverse! :D

Have a look in the projects section and you'll stumble across it, it's an amazing project car.
