I'm in a bit of a quandry and am hoping you might be able to help... Last Sunday the passenger side door car fell off our little coupe. Brilliant I thought... gives me an excuse to have the interior retrimmed. So I've taken the card to a couple of retrimmers only to be told by both of them that the cloth inserts can't be retrimmed as that part of the door card is bonded, not clipped to the main door card. As such if you try to prise one away from the other you'll end up ruining both...
I've seen on ebay that it appears some e36 door cards have the material insert clipped into them and not bonded... so my question is... is what I've seen on ebay just for the sedan version of the e36 or did they do some of for the coupe as well? If so... what my should I look for to ensure I buy clipped in versions of the door inserts and not bonded in ones?
