Drinking and driving

Just a heads up really. Many people forget that after a night drinking they are probably still over the legal limit the following morning.

Yet they still drive! Why is this? Do you test your breath alcohol before driving to make sure you are ok?

I'm going to make a HUGE stereotype assumption - people are idiots.

Actually that's not fair. It should be people are lazy and don't think about it. People assume that if they feel fine they are fine.

By people I mean the general masses though I suspect the actual number of people who do this are is minor but, like all disasters and travesties, they get blown out of proportion by the media and then other people start to hero worship and emulate them so that they get in the news as well. Viscous cycle of idiocy and celebrity culture. The modern world appears to celebrate the stupid and put them on a pedestal for all to see (see the current crutch of modern TV that is scripted reality TV). They are showered with fame and money and so the masses think it's ok to be appear to be stupid, ignorant and poorly educated. And then the government decides to increase the gap between the educated and the uneducated with university fees etc. The intelligent persons will couple up and be smart and only have 1, 2 or may 3 children. The masses, though, will breed and breed and breed as they are rewarded for doing so by the state (I should point out I have no issues with socialism, I object to those who take advantage of it for person gain). Evolution will have its way and the smarter, educated , elite will be outnumbered and they will have to maintain control by continuing to celebrate the ignorant etc etc.

Do you test your breath alcohol before driving to make sure you are ok?

No, I just don't get in the driver's seat until 1 hour per unit imbibed has passed since last I drank. And if I can't recall how much I've drunk I dont drive at all until the day after the morning after.
