Building a 10 second car

If you were building a 10 second car which car would you choose?

What weight and power figures would you go for?

Very rarely is someone going to think, "I want a 10 second car, what shall I start with? "

The normal thought is, "how do I make my ride a10 second car?"

Power and weight are not independant, they are joined at the hip. The ratio between them determines how fast you can go.

Suzuki Hayabusa would be my first thoughts - OK only two wheels and no body but the power:weight ratio is favourable

id need about 2000bhp to turn my car in to a ten second car.
Id go for an old classic. A morris or something. would love to have the funds, time and knowledge to do it !!
