hi all......... does anyone know how to open the bonnet when the pull handle doesnt work?

Is there any way of being able to remove your grill? This enabled me to open the bonnet with a pair of long nose plyers on one of my old cars.

thanx all.............. i registered quite a while ago last year, but always found it diffcult to get a post to work... not the sites fault... I found out last night on of my FF settings was blocking the script!!! doh........ all ok now

I've had a quick look at the grille, but I cant see any way of getting it off without access to fixings inside the area.... I also looked to see if there was anything to push/pull/poke as an emergency opening device... but to no avail :-(
the cable is attached to the handle at the interior end (unfortunately i suppose, as that would have been an easy fix!!!!!)....

You will have to remove both the front bumper and grill. Hopefully from there you can get to the bonnet to pop it open.

I've had that problem twice, with a passat & an audi 80.

With the audi I levered the bonnet up at the corner enough too get my fingers in & pull the wire.

With the passat I had to remove some of the interior plastics & pull the cable with a pair of pliers.
