Best performance car for UK roads

If you were to recommend a performance car that is suitable for the state of UK roads what suggestions would you make?

Are the high power SUV's the only option? Do the potholes and speedhumps rule out anything exotic and Italian like Ferrari?

Weirdly it doesn't stop them around where I live. There's a few super cars in the area and we are riddled with pot holes and speed bumps.

Any car can be driven on our poor roads, the driver just needs to be aware and alert.
