autobahn?

i was just wondering who has driven on the autobahn, and what they thought about it, compared to say driving in america, or italy, or other countries?

It's nice not having to constantly look at your speedo on the de-restricted bits, but I can imagine you'd feel like a sitting duck in something slow.

I must say - I was "cruising" at 130mph (fastest speed the car will let you set cruise control) and was shocked to see a BMW X5 stomp up in my rear view mirror like I'd dared to do 40mph down a British dual carriageway.

Great fun got up to 150mph @ 3.am, actual speed via GPS as the clock was reading 161ish, but there are not many autobahn's left without speed restrictions..
