I'm just wandering how you can get the indicator to flash 3 times without having to hold the indicator stalk down? The courtesy octavia I had had this feature and I liked it for coming off roundabouts
I've done a bit of Googling and found a couple of companies in America that sell kits from $30-$70 but I'm sure this would be easy to make for a lot less if someone could point me in the right direction.
So any input would be appreciated :)

An alternative might be as yours is a Seat it might well take the same stalk fittings as the Skoda, so you could perhaps get a 3-flash stalk from a scrappy?

Most modern VAG group cars do this. Push the stalk down all the way then up to get one flash, press it virtually all the way down without it clicking and it will give 3 flashes.

I have a feeling the control for this is in the Hazard light switch relay unit.

If it's not there then a VAGCOM software setting will likely yield the result you are looking for. Ask a VAGCOM specialist for some pointers on this.

It's more likely an ECU function than part of the switchgear directly. In many current cars this feature is configurable (ie. enable/disable) via the dashboard interface. The last car I used with it was a new Peugeot 508. It doesn't actually appeal to me; I turned it off.

DOH! That changes things doesn't it!

You will need to make up a custom relay, this is totally out of my league but should theoretically be quite easy with the right skills and parts.

The stalk will need to be modifed so there is a 3 flash position, not an easy task.

After searching some more it turns out a bloke is already making this for the 75. He has put pics up how he's made it I could quite easily steal his hard work and parts would probably cost less than a tenner the Soldering would probably take 3hrs. But he's only charging £30 for a full stalk replacement so I'll just be ordering from him.
Thanks for the input though it was appreciated!

I look forward to the You Tube film herb ;)

The chap has a few orders to complete first then he will get round to mine.
But he's offering an option of how many flashes so I'm opting for 4 flashes
Also looking at the way he's done the wiring the box could potentially be a universal kit if you have a little Soldering know how;)

Here's a video he's put up on YouTube
