1000mph - will it happen

Do you think we'll ever see a car capable of 1000mph?

The Bloodhound team are aiming at this sort of speed using a jet engine.

Will it happen? Is there a theoretical limit to how fast a car can travel?

Also will we see 200mph capable production cars aimed at families and executives?

We have so many incapable of driving @ 60 mph and putting others in danger so I would think that having to pass a high performance test before being allowed to own and drive a high performance car is long overdue BUT sadly no government will have the intestinal fortitude to implement such a law.
