Its a complete waste of money. Absolute bull#!#!#!#!. Steer clear. You either need to mod it properly and spend good money or the only true cheap cheaty way is NOS but its not something Id be interested in personally.

    323i Coupe 1996 pointers?

Your car will be a m52b25 which is the 2.5 323i. You want the m50b25 inlet manifold but it is not a direct fit. There are a couple of people who sell them modified for bolt on kits or there are one or two guides on the net to mod it yourself. Search for Alpina527 on www.bmwowner.com if you want...

    Bmw e34

What year of 520 is it? Really early ones have m20b20 single cam 12v motors with 120hp, the rest are m50b25 twin cam 24v with 150hp. The advice varies depending on the motor obv. What are you looking to acheive? Extra performance? Visual mods? Got any issues with the car, problems you need...

    e36 engine tuning

375lb/ft of torque! Um ok whatever you say... Which M3 camshafts are you thinking of fitting? None of the ones in this country will fit your 328i. Plus its proven that 328i exhaust systems flow very well, even the most expensive full systems have only ever got 2-3 hp increases.

Dont think there is such a thing as genuine 19" MVII's. 18" only.

    My 1998 323i Mission.

Right you did the first mod correctly. m50 manifold modified to fit the m52. Next would be BBTB, theres a guy in the uk who makes and sells them pretty cheap if you want hooking up. Induction kit, Dinan, Gruppe M (real or replica), Simota, Dave F are all proven. Remap. That should see your...

Tell us about yourself and your drift car

Once you have learnt how in the s13 do what makes sense and re-prep the rb30'd liner for drift. It would be awesome.

Where is the best place to learn drifting?

DWYB (Drift what you brung) at Santa pod raceway. http://www.dwyb.co.uk/ . Set up extremely well for begginers and advanced drivers alike. Seperate course for begginers with helpful marshalls who will give you tips if you identify yourself as a noob. Driftracing at Lydd kart track...

    Car setup question suspension

-3 degress front -0.5 degrees rear is a good drift set up. Almost completely back to front how a stock 325 lowered a bit will sit tbh. Lol at a 325 being too big to drift. Chasers and soarers are fine though I guess?

My current BM and some old ones too.

The seats are actually a colour BMW call Silver. It is a very light grey. They aren't quite as nice as that picture would suggest, I think it is the exposure or something. They will be though, my last set of those seats (in the black saloon) I treated with a product called liquid leather. They...

My current BM and some old ones too.

Lol yeah come to think of it I do. I had a e36 m3 for a while (no pics of that surprisingly) and I loved it. I can only imagine an e46 m3 is like the same speed with better everything else:D happy days.

My current BM and some old ones too.

This is the current car. 1996 328i sport. 130k manual mit lsd:bigsmile: Coilovers, suspension geometry mods, BBS style 5s polished lovingly by myself (3 month project I will never do again) and some paint correction/detailing by my mate Aaron.

Is this the coolest BMW youve ever seen

It is a bit of a looker. I imagine they will tame it down somewhat if it does go in production. Id place a months wages those wheels or that rear spoiler will never make it into production (not a bad thing imo)

    issue with my beemer

Not if you use it as an excuse as to why you need to be stopped somewhere... Exmoor has some awesome driving roads for anyone that can be arsed to trek down and see. We had a BM meet there recently which centred around the drive to and from and everyone had a good drive.

    Drifters Please Read This

I've only heard of air lock ones like some off roaders have. It has been discussed once or twice with regards to drift use but no-one has done it yet. I guess because if you have no budget you weld it, if you have some budget you buy a 2 way and we all know that works just fine. People who...

    Best LSD to run

Powerful mig welder used by someone who knows what they are doing on a well cleaned and prepared diff should be more than ok. Its the home brewed 120amp efforts that break (bit like my e34's drifters diff lol) and give them the bad name. Weld a plate in (or cut down bolts whatever you have to...

    issue with my beemer

Um mostly crashing them into things lol. Nah, I get bored pretty quick and have a real soft spot for BM's. Bar perhaps JDM stuff like 200s etc I dont think there are cars that fit my bill quite as well as BMs. £1k will buy you a nice looking well built 200hp car which is great day to day and...

    BMW 328 Throttle body mod

Quite a common mod for 323's and 328's. Quite restrictive manifolds and throttle body at stock. Costs about £400 fitted and I have yet to hear of someone who has done this mod who doesnt love it. Finds a good 20-25hp.

    issue with my beemer

Common problem. Barrel is a little worn but it could stay like this for ages. Mine often spins in the barrel before clicking in properly. When it does it take it out, make sure you have pushed it all the way in, give it a wiggle and the steering wheel at the same time (not helping if your...

Does anybody have tips on becoming a performance tuner

Learn everything you can at college, try and get a job working with someone who is excellent at what they do and learn as much as you can from them. Work on your own and your mates cars as practice until you have learnt enough to be any good (which unless you are gifted will be a long time imo)...

    323i - 2.8 litre conversion project

This man speaketh the truth. Get a service for good measure, get it on a diagnostics computer but bear in mind e36's have a habit of lying with their fault codes. Clear them all run it round the block then check it again. Cam/Crank sensor are common faults and cause bad running/lack of power.

    Best LSD to run

Kaaz do a diff for type 188 medium case bmw diffs. Undoubtedly the best you could buy for drifting for your car. Personally if it was just drifting Id save my £800 and weld it up but whatever floats your boat lol. The reason the Quaife diff isnt ideal for drift use is the way it operates. When...

Whats the cheapest car to get into drifting

Sorry but I strongly disagree with that. There are BDC cars out there that cost less than half of that and school many big budget motors with the right "skills". All you need to start drifting is a rwd car. Everything after that is a bonus. Good basic set up would be a e30/e36 325i...

    Drifters Please Read This

A decent 2 way locking diff like a Kaaz or the likes will skip and scuff exactly the same as a welder.
