If you have tried to restart and it sounds like the engine is turning over a lot quicker than normal i would suggest that the cambelt has failed or a tensioner has failed causing the belt to fail. Fast turning over of engine is a sure sign of no cylinder compression.

@Fifo Im guessing you have an E38 or E65 4.4 normaly aspirated engine and not turbo charged at all if the quoted gains from tuners are as low as 18bhp. I would do a little reading and research as the guys above have already said but usually the first and best place to start on a none turbo...

The turbo on the BKD engine is well known to fail tbh. The engines themselves are pretty good otherwise and quite good to tune giving good figures.

With a remap i do know that VAG and BMW, If they detect the software adaptions on the ecu, Will invalidate the "drive train" aspect of your vehicles warranty.
