    Any modified Kias out there

I have a KIA optima turbo. I have owned 1 jaguar XK120, 1 Porsche spider, 2 Alpha Romeo spiders. 2 Austin Healeys, 2 MGA's , 1 alltrack Celica turbo, 1 BMW m3 and 1 BMW 540I. 1 custom built hot rod. I have got a feel for speed and handling. For the money the optima fills the bill for me. 30...

    Delayed clutch release

Spending money on cars is very much like spending money on women. Expectations are high but you never quite reach your goals and they keep soaking up the green till your tires and head are completely bald. But God ain't it fun.

    Delayed clutch release

If you want to win you better have a fat pocket book. The one with the most money takes home the trophy. I like fast cars but with me handling comes first engines comes second. When I was younger the girl magnet factor was also very important.

    Delayed clutch release

Drag strips are for the rich. But then again they might be cheaper than traffic tickets, bail bond fee's and astronomical insurance rates. I must also include vehicular manslaughter which really sucks. Maybe just staying at home and chit chatting on the internet is the way to go.

    Delayed clutch release

When tires get hot enough to begin to melt the molecules blend with the asphalt and give maximum traction. The problem is the tires won't last very long and the shock to your drive line can pop a U joint or whatever. 0 to 60 jackrabbit starts are for the folks with money to burn. 25 mph to 100...

    engine change

Old git you hit the nail on the head. Horse power is directly related to the abundance of ones bank account.

    engine change

After several thwarted attempts to turn something into something it will never be. I switch over to getting what already is. Adding a turbo to a vehicle that was never designed for it can be costly and unrewarding.

How do you lower the compression ratio

Claymore, Ethanol increases the octane and loses a couple of miles to the gallon. I am glad to see you have a sense of humor. Do you live in the UK?

When will all cars be hybrids

I pray I will have gone to meet my maker before hybrids are the only cars that are available.

How do you lower the compression ratio

The best way to reduce compression ratios is to use gasoline with ethanol in it. Who is going to save us from the greenies?

How to improve wife's Chevrolet Spark 2012

My wife's spark would not be improved if I hooked her up to a 22000 volt transmission line.

    Delayed clutch release

CLUTCH? Is that something related to your left shoe or back seat shenanigans with your main squeeze? My first pickup was 46 ford, 4 on the floor, ton and a half that had to be double clutched if you wanted to get where you were headed. The good old days are a myth.

    Any modified Kias out there

I have learned the hard way that tuning the suspension and handling should come before tuning the engine. Having owned and driven cars that went over 160 mph power and speed are exciting but losing control at 150 mph may be more excitement than you really want.

Whats the best way to ruin an engine

The best way to permanently ruin an engine beyond any chance of repair is to mix a big batch of valve grinding compound with a light weight oil and pour it in the crank case. There will be nothing left but extremely polished parts with incredible clearance. I did it to my ex wife's car 50 years...

The tomb stone road to paradise

Hello car nuts. I feel like the squirrel who has just found the mother lode. Oh how I wish there had been an internet when I was young. I am a turbo nut whose acorns long ago succumbed to deer food. I have thrown off the shackles of pickup trucks and plan to spend my remaining miles reliving my...
