    daedric, the best route to take is to get diagnostics done to read any faults logged on the engines ecu. if you could find anyone close to you who has peugeot planet software who could do this for you to help pinpoint the problem and avoid wasting money.

    just got this fixed and finally want to finish that service. what oil should i use? cant seem to get amsoil in the uk, and my fap is removed so i wont need low saps will I? thanks :D

    thanks t9 man. the mechanic has the head off and says there are 5 bent valves. he has already sent it to a engineering workshop to get fixed but i just found it hard to believe that so many valves bent :sad2:

    well mechanic said it slipped 4 or 5 i think. regardless she'll not start...diagnostics say there is crank cam sync when shes turned over so the timing is set right now. I have just heard that bent valves on these engines is very rare but the mechanic still wants to pull the head :confused:

    Hi, PUG 307 2.0 HDI 8v timing slipped and when aux belt shredded question is....on these engines i hear valve damage is unlikely due to rockers breaking to protect them on piston valve contact. anybody heard of this?? :embarrest:

    Hi guys, need your help again :confused: fanbelt frayed and got caught in crank pulley and the car had to be towed out to garage for fear that it had hit the timing belt. fanbelt was changed, but the car wont start, it turns over but wont fire. mechanic is saying the head neeeds to come off...

    I see that now, and they do quote much more impressive figures for the 2l hdi 110 than torquetronix. It seems they stop at 136 HP based on the xsi hdi model

    thanks for the advice. Im just frustrated its taking me so long to get all the wrongs corrected before i can even begin to work on performance. I myself have crashed twice and im only 19...so insurance is £££££££ :sad2:

    FIXED ***** Changed the turbo control electrovalve today and off she went. This is actualy the first time in my ownership of the car that it has had full boost :amuse:

    the faults codes read on the engine ecu were : turbo pressure. turbo pressure measured too low. pre/post heating relay circuit. relay stuck (glow plugs) as i said the measured turbo pressured stayed just slightly above atmospheric pressure throughout the entire rev range but as HDI says...

    Right so ive cleaned the MAF which helped a bit. Got all fault codes cleared momentarily but they reappear when you drive the car to 70mph. On peugeot planet parameters I noticed that the expected turbo boost increases as the car is revved obvious but the measured boost stayed the same as idle...

    no i havent pedro getting that done tomorrow. Im pretty sure the turbo is kicking in but its definately lacking, especially at low revs
