If you changed the fuel rail you may have a air in the fuel line, just a thought.
Was it running before you changed the ecu

ok cool. na it didnt work at all i have been changin parts then tryin to start it each time and it just dont fire up

Also have a look at the dizzy and leads and check with a feeler gauge that the spark plugs are set right right.

hi mate,
going back to the first post

why did you change the ECU??
and was it changed before or after your car wont start???

plus check the battery cables are on correctly, if so, try jumping it
probably wont work, but at least that theory is out of the way

ps

could it be your distribitor cap

if theres a lot of mileage on your car, the coil in the distribitor could be burned out
take the distribitor off the car, then dismantle it,as far as i know its 3 bolts holding it together
you will see a copper unit,= thats the coil,
look for scorch marks, if there is thats your problem

unfortunitly, its a common problem on old hondas, its just wear and tear

if it is the problem, just recondition it,
the coil will cost about 90 euros, what ever thats in sterling but takes 5 mins to fix

i would check that anyway next,
let me know mate

Maybe an odd question, but is there a CEL?
And, have you tried push-starting it yet?
So rolling, putting it in second or third, give full throttle and dump the clutch... force it to run so to speak.
Ow, btw, what type of Civic do you have... EG6 or EK4?
If it's an EG, you might want to check the main fuel relais, under the dash near the interior fusebox... the solderings tend to crack after all these years and give you problems with starting.

Let us know :)
