Ford Granada 2.3 84
Hi everyone, I’m living in Berlin (Germany).
I have recently bought a Ford Granada 2.3 v6 Auto , with a damaged engine, dropped a rod with a hole in the sump for proof, however the car itself is virtually rust free original paint and very good original interior, 2 owners from new.
My plan is to replace the engine with a good second hand one, but my question is would a 2.8 or 2.8i drop in with no major changes or should I stick to the 2.3, the reason I ask is that I have seen more 2.8 and 2.8i for sale at the moment.
Thanks in advance

The only thing to check is gearbox compatibility, the 2.8's are very similar, and I've seen quite a few swaps to these done. If the donor is from another model of car you might need to alter the engine mounts slightly.
