MK4 VR6 24v gti First steps into tuning. Help wanted

Hey fellas, its Madhatt. Just joined this forum.
I have had 3 different MK4's and now I got myself the VR6 motor, which I like the most and want to do some tuning on it. I am not experienced and dont know what should I work on first.
My question is in which order should I upgrade my car. I want to do it right the first time.

Remapping is always last. Brakes and suspension first IMHO.

Then work on the intake ie Larger valves, turbocharging/supercharging, flowed head, fast road cams and the exhaust could then do with a modest upgrade, particularly the headers and a sports catalyst.
