Skoda fabia combi swap with golf 6 gti engine

Hello guys,
I am looking for my next car (2008-2012 skoda fabia combi) and i can see from the engine choices available that i will ne wanting a swap... My question is (if theres any mechanics here) i have acces to a great condition golf mk6 gti 2liter tfsi engine ... What would be the cost to swap that engine and transmission into the skoda fabia ?

Is it the Turbo engine? You'll need a wiring loom, intercooler, engine mounts and a gearbox from a 2.0 Golf. This conversion has been done quite a few times and works really well. Battery may need relocating to the boot, or fit a space saver slim battery. The engine compartment will be very tight.

The 1.8T is a better fit and easier to do and probably cheaper in the long run, with mapping it will achieve around 225bhp and on a turbo upgrade you'll push past 300bhp.

The 1.4T 170bhp would be a drop in but it no longer exists due to oil burn issues. If you could source a good secondhand one though.

i think i will opt for the 1.8t engine out of the polo gti 9n
that way the cost will indeed be managable.
