About My car

Current Car
A3 1.8T Sport
Current Cars Mods.
I currently have a Purple Audi A3 1.8T Sport.
I'm pretty happy with the standard car - it performs and handles really well.

I also get 37MPG from it fairly consistantly (more on a long run!)

First up I need to convince my wife that the car is in need of some more mods.

MODS/Planned Mods

-Panel air filter
-KO4 Turbo upgrade
-Remap (switchable though)
-Grooved and vented disks
-Sport Brake pads
-Braided Hoses
-Sports Catalyst
-Stainless steel sports exhaust

I have plans of taking the power to the 300 bhp mark.
About
My last car was a Rover 220 GTi which I stripped and rebuilt.

I managed to get the NASP power to 175bhp, but there was a big reliability issue - perhaps it is just a Rover thing!

The one thing that wound me up was that the manufacturers performance gains were at best very optimistic, and they didn't tell you that certain mods require work in other areas.

This is partly why I started this site - to try and get a reference for modding cars that actually works in the real world.

I finished the 220 GTi project so 3 engines and 2 gearboxes later I decided to get a more reliable car which was easier to tune and went for the A3 (I shortlisted a Civic VTI-s and a 200SX but the A3 won and I'm dead chuffed with it;))
Biography
Married - no kids, no TV don't smoke and drink about 2 units a week!

Hi Waynne. YES a SHAME. BUT if you look at my Origanal POST I DID say that ALLARD knew off ONLY 2 Companys that CAN sort this Prob BOTH in Europe... So someone else MUST be able to sort this... I'm NOT the ONLY one out there with this Prob with the late e46 2Lt or 3.0Lt Oil Burners. So one would expect there's a Market for whatever Disables or Modifies the Censer. Cheers Stephen. I cant PM yet but my Email is slapphead........ Being an Administrater you'll now the rest...

Hi Waynne, I read the second email about only being able to post images after the first 10 posts a little to late. Please can you approve my post in the Hello and Introduction forum. First impressions are everything, and rightnow I feel like a Muppet.

    Hi Waynne
I'm trying to get hold of Dan Wilkie from Auto Custom Eng in Surrey. Does he still work there. Or even better where I can get hold of him.

    Cheers
