I have plans of taking the power to the 350/400 bhp mark.
About
My last car was a Purple Audi A3 1.8T Sport. I was pretty happy with the standard car - it performs and handles really well It is currently for sale!
I also got 37MPG from it fairly consistantly (more on a long run!)
Before this I had a Rover 220 GTi which I stripped and rebuilt.
I managed to get the NASP power to 175bhp, but there was a big reliability issue - perhaps it is just a Rover thing!
The one thing that wound me up was that the manufacturers performance gains were at best very optimistic, and they didn't tell you that certain mods require work in other areas.
This is partly why I started this site - to try and get a reference for modding cars that actually works in the real world.
I finished the 220 GTi project so 3 engines and 2 gearboxes later I decided to get a more reliable car which was easier to tune and went for the A3 (I shortlisted a Civic VTI-s and a 200SX but the A3 won and I'm dead chuffed with it;))

Hello, new on this site.
I read your take on carbon buildup on intake valves on the Audi 2.0 TFSI
I just ordered a new Audi TT, not the RS,more$ than I want to spend.
Question: do you know if the new TFSI engines still have the carbon build problem? If so, besides not taking short trips, what can be done to ensure long life of engine and minimal power loss? Thanks, Eric in Wa.
alrite wayne just a question do people in our area still meet up on the odd weekend just to talk about their motors e.t.c. and if so where abouts as im soo keen to listen to how other people do stuff differently to their motor
Im new here, also new in UK/London, the place where i born is poland, for 6 years over there i photography cars and other things, i also want to do this over here. I hear that you are the owner of this site, so I ask you, could I promote here my photography? I must to say that I don't have any firm or company or photostudio, I just freelancer, also don't have money to pay for promote. Is it possible to do something here?
I have plans of taking the power to the 350/400 bhp mark.
