Ok but the freelander is an constant all wheel drive as it is a transverse motor so the gearbox hasnt got a transfer case but a IRD (immediate reduction drive) which allows for the "tail piece" that would power the prop shaft as the front wheels are driven of side shafts straight from the...
But i also went and thought about it seeing as though your in the uknand you want to tow dont remove the prop as your weather is crap and removing the prop deminishes the handling it becomes abit wavy on the road
It does give better economy and little acceleration too but if you want to use it off road at all (not including just plain gravel roads) i wouldn't suggest it
