- i own a plum crazy purple 76 standard bug. its got 50's fenders and doors, its pretty badass. i bought it oct 2008 for $2200. The brakes were siezed, engine was completely seized, exhaust was in terrible shape. So i put about $5000 into it. I've dreamt of this exact car since ive been a kid and finally bought one during my quarter of a century life crisis. The best part is my licence plate, it reads "SHABAAAM", who knew that would be available. It still needs a new sliding ragtop.
