Hey dude, the exhaust on the 1.9td actually isn't that great to be honest, I'm having a custom made 2.5" turbo back exhaust for mine and a decat, believe or not but on this engine the cat isn't required to pass an mot (I had my car MOT'd in January and mad the decat done before that and it passed), I have already had the cat removed but have the standard exhaust I get more in the midrange but it still needs a full system to be great, but if you still want just a back box then get a proper one that fits the car rather than a universal one and get a centre section from Peugeot (standard) for an earlier car (like a 1995 1.9dt as they don't have the cat) but I would still go for custom made, mine will cost just shy of 400 notes and the off the shelf full systems for my and your car cost more so i reckon I'm getting a good deal, I'll let you know what the results are

cheers for the advice on the air filter and clutch have watched video very helpfull have got clutch out now.got a valeo replacement and got that very usefull clutch alignment tool.what do you think about a performance back box i have got a peco 2.is it worth the effort of welding it on will it make much difference to performance as the exhaust on the car looks to be quite a big bore as it is.my engine is the 1.9td my car is a 306 r reg lx.cheers for the help and advice.i am new to the diesel tuneing and dont know what works an what does not.yours is a nice motor hope to get mine half as good as yours soon.cheers mate.
