Basically, drive it more slowly, much as with any car. Keep tyres correctly inflated, remove excess luggage etc.
Remapping will generally improve economy as long as you don't drive it to the max and use every last ounce of torque all the time. Clearly this will increase fuel usage.
Re 75 better and more efficant breathing along with more gentle driving,
realistcaly remapping is the best way asyoull get a she load f torque to go with it, any reason why you dont want this way ?
