integra type r dc2

Hi mate, I'm still curious about the Tigra Turbo:)

For something as rare as that you might want to get Banzai Magazine and check the classified as they crop up from time to time. Have you thought of importing one? Try SVA imports in Folkestone they can get most things and to pretty much any spec.

Try the Integra DC2 owners club, there is a few guys on there that import etc.
Don't know about Turbo engine in the type R but have been told not very good with the v-tec, Supercharged is ok though.

Have read up on it in the past as was hoping to do it myself.

Toxic! Ooh thats nice. I need one of them!

Got any more details or pics? 1 more post Roy Boy and you'll be able to upload pictures for us.

Hi there, I got a turbo integra all done with greddy parts, v-tec at 4500 revs in 1st to 3rd then 5200 4th and 5th, uprated diff, 5 srut braces and handels and goes amazingly!!! so really if its done properly with the correct e-management you got a great car to drive!!! its for sale by the way!!!

welcome to tc mate, 1 thing i need to say to you, bring it straight in from japan
its the only place you'll get a dc5 turbo thats turbo properly

fellas bolt on turbos over here in europe and it causes more damage than good
hondas dont take to turbos well anyway, but if the work has been done in japan, 90 percent of the time it will have been done properly

theres a type r civic 97 shape over here, the girl brought it straight from japan herself
thats nearly 2 year ago, and not once did she have trouble

its worth sourcing 1 from japland mate

I'd be interested in doing a feature if your up for it. Email me webmaster@torquecars.com and we can talk.

Did you do the turbo conversion yourself? What sort of power figures are you putting down? Did you lower the compression or are using low boost or water injection?

Hi again hope all well! ok, my car was imported from japan last year with all the work carried out there, and boy did they make a good job of it!! safely running 0.5 bar of boost with the greddy front mount oil cooler keeping the garret turbo under control, tien coilovers are brill and the cusco dif is excellent with a 13.2 quarter mile I love every piece of it!!!!

oh and its a dc2
bet you had no problems??

thats the thing you see, its a jap car thats ment to be N/A, if the japs want it turboed, they do so in fine workmanship, they dont cut corners and the end result is perfect

small tanned japs with slanty eyes, god their intellegent and very good at what they do, and they live for 2 things, gambeling and speed

Exactly right!!! They are brilliant at what they do, no corners cut and the best possible parts used for the job! If it had been done over here it would of blown by now.....

Hi, yea def up for feature sounds good!! Just let me know what to do...
thanks:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:

I may be a bit late on this topic but you should know i'd have an opinion and I disagree... I know a company that would be able to build a project like this just as good as it coming from japan. Hond-r is their name and they absolutely specialise in honda's. They know everything about them. My point is if a car is built right with the right parts and set up properly it doesn't matter which continent it came from anyone can build a good realiable turbo car with thought and preparation. And thats my moan...:lol:

I can't send you a PM (private message) until you have 10 posts. can you email me over some pics to webmaster@torquecars.com and I'll converse with you off the forum so we can get the feature together and I can do a write up.

Thanks buddy!
