Lots of new acronyms for safety stuff:
BSM: blind spot monitor
VSC: vehicle stability control
VSM: vehicle stability management
CBC: cornering brake control
LDW: lane departure warning
RTCA: rear cross traffic alert
TC: traction control

The thing that gets to me is that when people are shopping for new wheels and the salesman (or should that be salesperson to be PC politically correct) mentions all of the cars wonderful electronic safety bells & whistles by their abbreviations, IMHO few if any ask the salesperson to explain them

HDA hill decent assist
CCVVT computer controlled variable valve timing
There are so many I can't keep up.

I live with a SHMBO she who must be obeyed ( from Rumpole of the Bailey)
