There is a new gallery on the site which members can upload pictures to. You have to be logged in to view the members galleries and features. https://www.torquecars.com/forums/media/ I've been uploading the old gallery pics and have just done the london motorshow pictures. (2-3000 More photos to come soon!) https://www.torquecars.com/forums/media/categories/car-shows.1/ You get to your own gallery through your Profile Control panel and your gallery will show up in your profile and become a part of the site gallery. (Galleries can only be viewed by members and they can only be created if you have 10 or more posts.) If you have got some car show pics we'd love to see them. Also you can comment on pictures now - so enjoy.
Welcome to the Spotted thread. Have you seen another TC'er or something out of the ordinary that made you stop & stare? If so take a snap & post it here! :D No web finds please, keep it to real cars on the street, car park, garage, your mates house, out side the pab etc...;) Here Is my first offering... Seen outside Halfrauds in Cannock this afternoon. The cars belonged to members of the Cannock & district car club & they were there helping to raise money for the County Air Ambulance.
Just a reminder to everyone that we now all have car photo storage space. http://www.torquecars.com/forums/all_albums.php Resize your pics to 90kb or so before uploading them otherwise you'll be there all day. I'd love to see pics of your cars, your cars modifications, projects, work in progress and shows that you have been to. Your album will also show up in your profile so your profile is now even more of a personal website!
I saw this at the Midland Game Fair this afternoon, at first I thought it was a Aston Martin Rapide but it's not, then i thought it may be a kit car based on a Nissan (see the Z on the front flank). Now I just don't know! Can anyone shed some light on this car for me please? :embarrest:
Car was really dirty - I forgot it was Purple! The bug spray I used was rubbish - it left marks in the paint. Instead I used a halfords colour restorer which is a bit like t-cut but a lot milder. Rather than rub hard -wipe on and off and it took off the tar as well leaving lovely smooth paint. There were a few scuffs on the wing etc... so I used T-Cut to remove these. The alloys looked like they were black and dark grey! After washing the paint still had steaks so I used a shammy. Alloy wheels got a thorough washing over. I then scrubbed the alloys and use CITRIC acid on the areas which were badly soiled. The washed bonnet looked good but not a deep shine and there were still swirls in the paint...
Getting a new car to replace the A3 It is a ..... wait for it..... it's quite long..... Audi A4 Avant 2.0 T FSi Quattro S line Limited Edition with 18 inch RS4 wheels, Full leather interior and dual zone climate control. It looks good in a very dark grey and the Chrome around the grill has been blacked out. Front brakes are drilled, grooved and vented as standard. 0-60 7.1 Seconds 31 mpg! And it is a Quattro so it will have really good handling, the test drive was a sheer pleasure. I take delivery on Friday, I can't wait and all pics are pre the final valet and preparation.

And feel free to pass the link on to your friends and on other sites (twitfacespaceforums)
Right o then guys, starting this thread frsh for the Veccy rather than keep posting in the MG thread :) If you've read the reprevious posts from said MG thread, you'll know that i've gona and got myself a right bargain of beast. So to catch up, i have a 1999 Vectra GSi estate which was MSD build number 1575 which turns out according to the MSD register, that it's one of the last few pre-faclift estates which is cool. And heres the pics from previous post = But we have and update aswell (i can't keep my hands off cars lmao) Fitted my air filter form the 2.6 Sri as I just love the sound, took it for quick spin and hasn't affected the running of the car unlike it did when I fitted one to my old 2.5 Calibra before the...
Hi all, I thinking of getting a Vauxhall agila B as a project car. I was wondering what's the biggest engine you could swap into one due to the limited engine sizes. Could for instance you put a 1.4 turbo corsa engine in one???
Hi guys. Well what mad 3 months it has been. Loads of stuff going on it's been crazy lol. But in the short run of things:- 1:- redecorated the house. :amuse: 2:- redecorated my mothers place for her :amazed: 3:- 3rd of July was mother b-day = 2 and half cases of carling and went 28hrs straight and took a week to recover. 4:- major service done on the Calibra. :cheesy: 5:- find out i'm going to be a Dad again and is due 17th of Feb. :D 6:- need a 4 or 5 door car to cater for 2 children so Cally had to go :sad2: 7:- find new car which i'm gettin on Tuesday next week that is another absolute gem of a bargain. As those that read my 3.0 Calibra thread, you will remember how much of a...
OK, here is my attempt at Supercharging a Stock Australian Ford Falcon BA 4.0. The only things I didn't have to change was the intake manifold & Blower. Originally it came as a one-off Kit (but it was only half finished & didn't fit). So, everything bar the intake manifold/runners had to be re-designed & remade or re-machined. It cost me a Bloody fortune (at least twice as much as the original planed outlay).
Hi all, in my time away from this fantastic forum I went to TRAX 2008. It was a great day out and a real experience. There was a good show of car clubs from across the UK, and the largest collection of Fords and Vauxhalls I have ever seen! There was also action on the track and a chance to do a run. In the show area there was a selection of ICE-out rides, dancing girls (sorry...no pics) and various stuff to buy. EA (Electronic Arts) were also showing previews of some the new games due out soon! There was also the great finally of hundred's of modified cars leaving at once. Ford Escort Cabriolet Ford Fiesta Honda CRX (and Peugeot 206 in background) Volkswagon Golf Rear Light Mitsubishi FTO A Team Van...
update on the tiger cub trying to hang onto it as well as the belva but running out of excuses to tell the wife would like to put it back on the road for summer the belva being mid engine does get very hot so i have to take out the side windows to get some air then have to put them back when i leave it bit of a pain
This is the only 620si in the world that looks like this (I think) [b] Gonna be getting my spoiler putting on the car in the next week or so. It in the paint shop but i have come to the conclution that the painter is a lazy tw*t  Anyway after the car is all done am hoping to sell it or just do a swap for a smaller car. Its for my girlfriend she aint used to people looking at her as she drives 20 miles an hour down a 30 road lol, They must think "Go on luv put ya foot down" Also have a xr2i
Hey guys, thought I would post up some pics of the Mondeo. Just washed it and gave it its first polish in a while. Think it came up ok. Things to do: Lower (you wouldnt think it was sitting on 18's on sports suspension) Refurb wheels And then possibly a remap Who said standard radios were rubbish? well i did actually but i stand corrected...
Well here is my little baby Ive done pretty much all i wanted with the body, morretts, 17" rims and a re spray. For my next project this is the XU10 J2T low pressure turbo engine that will be going into it eventualy once ive rebuilt it. rebuilt lots of engines, its what keeps me sane:lol: but never really got into tuning so when the time comes im hoping for a little guidance. D
Since I first posted about my Toyota a few days ago I know it's been the talk of the forum.Obviously anyone with a mk1 Avensis will understandably be the focus of much envious attention.I'm used to it when I see the drivers of Porsches and M5s stare with such longing at my car, sometimes I truly think I should remove the vvti badges from the wings because it feels like sheer gloating lol. Nah,I do get stares but their usually either in amusements or from people who think I must be driving about thinking I've got the coolest car in town or something. It's an Avensis,a mini cab drivers dream car of the late 90s,early 2000s but for some daft reason it's really grown on me and I woud love to get a 250 bhp motor under there and embarrass all...
sold the scoob yesterday (making almost a 100% profit lol) and went straight down to get this. 3.0L V6 GLS model so has all the toys :) Just give her a wash and wax so heres the pics, Plans are are graphics (of course lol) Walnut dash is getting colourcoded blue to match bodywork Thinking about colour coding the full bottom half of the car so its all blue
Exciting times here at Rvinyl! We just acquired a 2005 BMW 325xi sedan with the purposes of turning it into a show car. Every week we will be featuring the next phase of the project by adding a new accessory, wrap, part, tint and showing you the entire process of preparation, installation and outcome. Look for a ridiculous amount of videos, pics and posts as we literally srtrip this 2005 BMW 325xi down and build her back up again. As I said above, everything we do will be have an accompanying videos which we will post to our YouTube channel and our site. The project is expected to take between 6 months to a year to complete but so far the we have planned the following modifications and upgrades in more or less the order we plan to...
Offerred to polish up a mates severly oxidised red Corsa (don't know what was worse, driving a Vauxhall or that it has winy windows!!!!!). Two passes with G3 and will go over the whole thing with a pass of Megs 83/80 (I forget which one is the lighter one). From this: To this: I managed to do the bumper, bonnet, wing mirror, and door before it got dark. You can see where I stopped polishing towards the back lol. What you reckon? Coming up nice so far no?
Right, as i've now had a chance to get christmas out of the way i'm now starting my modding up again on the Calibra so thought i'd get a thread together as this will be an ongoing thing. As a few of you know she already has a shed load done to engine to get it up to 237.2bhp Which isn't bad at all considering its normally asperated and theres loads of room left for improvement. But in the size car it is, a 0-60 of 5.54 seconds isn't bad at all. I bought the car from 200 miles away from where I live as I knew there was something special about this old gal. From the advert I already knew it had a 3.0 engine conversion from Courtenay Sport, plus a few other bits and since i've had it have done roughly about £2000 worth of work to...

C:\Documents and Settings\Adam\My Documents\My Pictures\SXI\IMGP0360.JPG C:\Documents and Settings\Adam\My Documents\My Pictures\SXI\IMGP0361.JPG both are pictures of the 6'' x 9''s i fitted due to their being 2 great holes in the parcel shelf. i had to make mdf mounts first and then cover it with faux leather, as the holes were too big in some areas.
Hi guys. Well thought I'd get a bit of thread together rather than me keep updating my Hello thread. Well as some of you know, I have a lovely JDM Impreza which I bought a couple of months ago and the bug has got me already and things have started to happen already. This is the spec when I bought the car... Alrite lads so this is the car I am all set to buy its just round the corner from me I have test driven it and got to say its brilliant. Shame its FWD for a scooby was hoping for AWD but I will happily settle so I can brag I have a Scooby! :D for £400 you can't go wrong mechanically brilliant to be on the safe side I am replacing a few bits and changing the Oil and I have to patch up a dink on the rear bumper!
not pretty, but did a job all the same :blink1: Mini of course! Everyone has to play with one of these! Chevette-started life with a 1.9 Manta engine, then that expired and in went a Rover V8, semi-space framed front end. A case of tail wagging the dog with this! Audi GT 2.4i I also had a 1340 Mini, no pictures, that ran a Longman engine, rallycross spec, 48 Weber, Jack Knight straight cut box and a Quaife slipper. I also designed and fabricated my own coilover rear beam axle. Redundancy put paid to that beauty.
Just been out in this badboy about an hour ago and honestly I still haven't stopped grinning. THIS. IS. UNREAL. A mates but his uncle built it and sold it straight to him. From what I can remember... Full ST170 Conversion R6 Bike Carbs Omex ECU RS200 Close-ratio 4-speed box (110mph max! But my god is it frantic through the gears) G-max shocks and springs (cheap crap, too soft, need changing) Front strut brace Mini-lite alloys Heaters removed 216bhp and I forget the torque. Weight about 880kgs IIRC. And now the bit you've all been waiting for.... Still badged as a 1.6 ghia  The sounds is just unbelievable and it's bloody quick, no traction whatsoever in first or second just spins up one rear wheel LSD is on...
O'right all. Had a little meet on the 11th of November with a load of mates, who mostly own Jap cars for a fast run of Snake's Pass and a hearty pub meal. Good enough range of car to hopefully give the recently quiet forum some discussion points!!! Pics collated from different sources so don't hate. I will say the low sun and lighting made it very difficult to take pictures :beer:
Took the beasty a little ride out this morning to see if i could clear her lungs a bit after the ecu hadn't been connected for a while hehe (or never since the turbo went in lol). Well i set off with it running the same as it was but marginally better with not much boost but better revving. Then just after i started to record this vid she let loose, free'd everything up and shot into over boost like there was no tomorrow lmao. You will see when i floor it in 2nd what happens next, put it this way, she was spinning in 5th gear  Ok, please forgive the un-steadyness as i had to tape the phone to my hand so I could drive safely ;) Here goes:-...
