Default Will scratched windscreens fail an MOT

I have a scratched and scuffed windscreen and I was wondering if it would fail the MOT?

If it is a fail does the insurance cover windscreens that are scratched or is it just stone chips.

This will give you an idea. There seems to be a little bit of tester discretion available.

I think insurance only covers accidental damage by outside influences, ie stones. You won't be covered for lack of wiper blade maintnenace

If the scratches are deep and in line of sight of the driver then they may fail you. Anything passenger side will pass. If it does pass, then just aquire a used spark plug and the rest is history!!
