Default See Through Wheels

At the SEMA showin January or something clear wheels where present. They are made of Lexan which is the same stuff that bulletproof glass is made out of. Does anyone have large enough brakes to make these look good or are they a complete waste of time?
For a picture of them look at Redline Magasine issue 111. I shall try to figure out how to get an image up but i dont thgink my scanner is working properly. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?im...%3Den%26sa%3DN
thats the link to a picture of them.

They look good in a show setting but they wont help with cooling your brake disks and you'll have to scrape the brake dust off from the inside. Its a shame - it is a good idea overall but as with many show items its just not practical for daily use.

Thanks for the heads up though! Interesting stuff.

Do a search for SBARRO hubless wheels - they are well cool. They use magnets and you can put your hand inside the rim to prove it is not attached!
