| Re: Body kits going out of fashion What on Earth are you talking about? The Vauxhall Calibra is one of the finest sports coupes ever made.
How could it not be so? It was based upon the Vauxhall Cavalier. |

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion Don't get me wrong I LIKE Calibras but the one above with the bodykit on, just looks horrible.
I remember when Calibras first came out and in (I can't quite remember think it might of been CCC) one of the mags was the Matig Calibra, wide body kit, now that looked tasty |

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion Body kits are good if they serve a purpose. I.E. Aero dynamics, cooling brakes, air intake, ect. But when they are cheap rip offs designed to just look gash and lairy then they are rubbish.
Oh, they are also cool for the duration of the film The Fast and Furious.

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion It's a fashion statement in most cases. It's going out but it'll come back at some point. |

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion Why ruin the body of the already beautiful DB9? and besides it looks almost like the DBS so is quite pointless,
That said the XK8 body kit looks quite tasteful

I do a lot of weird and wonderful things to XKs you can buy them quite cheap and you have a pretty powerful car underneath it all

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion Hmm, next question can a 306 be turned into a DBS replica?
Nice work there, nice to see such a high standard of finish. The cars must have taken ages and your Jag look so much nicer than the stock XJS.

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion As I have said in other threads I will do anything that interests me and of course if somebody is willing to pay the price
But thanks for the comments, I have sold a few DBS replica panels to someone who is fitting them to a Supra.
If anyone is interested I can do DBS front bumper quarters, side skirts and rear diffuser, with a little imagination you could make them fit.
Here's something I am doing at the moment
An XK with a hint of DBS |

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion as long as the body kit improves the aerodynamics, it's cool, but only a cup of kit putting into the car adding weight for no reason, sucks.

| Re: Body kits going out of fashion Not a great fan of body kits always look a bit desperate to me. having said that some of the above look great but look at the start point pretty stylish to start with. They seem to be the choice of idiots near us all plastic poor paint jobs all noise and no performance.
I'd much rather spend the money on the interior styling, ice and handling.

Keep it simple, clean and low with a nice set of wheels. add a front lip spoiler if you must |

Keeping a standard looking bumper but adding a lip and a vent or 2 which actually do something other than a stuck on piece of bull5h!t is cool in my book.
I do quite like the smoothed 'Euro' look, simple but effective, lowered, a descent set of rims and a nice exhaust note without the look of a bake bean tin with the bottom cut off.....What is this fasination with HUGE exhaust tips? |
