Default Accord Type-R Alloys

Recently bought an Accord Type-R. Lots of wheel wobble at speed. Had them all balanced but the garage said at least two are buckled.

Anyone know where I can buy new ones for a good price (originals and not second hand)?

That's pretty unlucky! New alloys - Honda really or perhaps an import specialist - most will sell them in sets of 4 though - it's probably worth checking the aftermarket ones as there will not be that much price difference and if you choose the same size you can keep the existing tyres buit end up with great looking rims.

BTW is the spare a space saver or full sized wheel - you could live with a buckled spare then you only have one wheel to replace

Second hand is not as bad as it sounds - all the other wheels on your car are second hand and in some cases putting on a new shiny wheel will make all of your old ones look shabby!

That's the annoying thing. They are all spotless! And the spare is a space saver. How much do Honda sting you per wheel?

I would say - don't knock a second hand rim till you've looked at one - if they are spotless on your car then chances are they will be spotless on another car which has been written off! I'll see if we can get a Honda price for you.

Yeah, can only see Civic Type-R. Loads of Alloy dealers will sell ones which will fit, but they are all "bling" I want originals. Think i will have to blow over £400 and get them from Honda

Before you do that - ask an alloy refurbisher if there is anything they can do for you. Sometimes they can correct the imperfections but I think I would feel safer with a solid unstresses new wheel to be honest!
