Wiper blades question

My wiper blades are really smeary. I have cleaned them but I just think they are too old. What blades are the best. How long do they usually last you?

Halfords ones used to be good but the last couple I had were crap. Have you tried using solvent based screen cleaner?

Bosch blades are good, as are Champion. Try www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk as they sell wiper parts as well as lamps.

Bosch worked well for me and they come with a wind deflecter that is quite effective.

I always get the wind spoiler ones for the driver's side. Not so critical on passenger side as the blade is in the middle of the screen when vertical to not a lot of lift to deal with. So long as I stay below 125 mph in extremely heavy rain it all seems OK.

My wife is always asking me to do the wipers cos her side is smeary! I think I'll get wind deflectors for both sides next time.
