Default Which sound system?

I think you'll all agree with me when I say a kick ass sound system is one of the most important parts of a car

With that in mind, I'm looking for some advice on fitting a whole new system.

Are there any specific brands to look out for? Any tips / tricks to make it sound better? Anything that will definitely need buying / be ok to leave as standard?

Thanks!

Dynamat is good stuff if your really serious about your sounds.
Don't buy cheap stuff pay the extra to get better equipment.

dynamat is about the only thing you can skimp on there is better and cheaper stuff than it but as for the rest spend the money.

if your going huge - battery, alternator and main wire should all be as good as possible

Tbh I was looking at more a mid range, as much as I'd love to deafen my passangers I'm not sure how far my budget will stretch

Also, how easy is it to change speakers?

speakers - unsrew old ones, put in adaptor/spacer plate if required. solder/crimp on new connectors and cover back up

sound deadening is a must however
