109mph in a 3 cylinder 1.0 12v allow %age error and thats quite impressive

on private property of course

That's impressive, even with a worst case 10% error that's still 98mph! I admire your patience. Was the car stock standard at the time?

and patience i had, had 2 power naps...

it was completely stock, only mod was an air mass flow from a larger engine (1.4 sport). that was the day i got a stone chip in the windscreen, was a nasty one too. after i repaired it it was written off! so she went out in style

But as far as the thread goes my record is 130 on the M4 in my dads Ford Focus (1.6 TDi).

Whats a mere 300mph between friends? I will admit to not having a speedo with me at the time but it did feel a bit faster than my car.

The fastest ive done is 144mph & im not expecting to go any faster.I was on the M1 racing a Lancier Delta.

Looking at your user name I was expecting about 180! Doing those speeds on the Motorway is really reckless and can easily lead to a long ban
