Cool Whats the best sounding engine you have driven.

What about the best sounding engine that you've actually driven?

I've only driven a few cars so I would say either my Civic or my brother's Focus....I think it's time to buy a GT3!

I loved my Rover 220 GTi engine AT (after tuning). Throaty induction growl with a raspy roar at full chat. The current Audi tends to growl nicely but with all the sound deadening I wouldn't claim it as being amazing.

Quite liked the Nissan SR20DE (petrol, despite the D).

3.5 V6 in a Honda Legend - not that it made much sound at all really. Lively though, with a claimed 292bhp.

I've heard of an SR20DET what does the SR20DE come in? Is it the Almera?

SR20DE is in Primera GT's - it's a SR20DET without a turbo.

There's also a SR20ZE which is 204 bhp withotu turbo

had a go with the sr20de in a gt like the car but the clutch was murder or lack of it anyway.

my old 90' 2.0 twin carb prelude would prob have sounded the nicest. but sounded even better after the exhaust was changed
