Default Torquecars £999 challenge

OK, what is the shortest 0-60 mph car you can find for under £999
I'll start the ball rolling with 6.5 secs £920 Fiat Coupe 20v turbo http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1501?logcode=p

It's amazing what you can pick up nowadays for under £1k

1997 BMW 7 SERIES 740I V8 4DR AUTO TIPRONIC TV £999 7 seconds. Slower but a lot of car for your money.

Here is my winner though...
a MITSUBISHI GTO 3.0 Twin Turbo £500 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.

Nice, I was looking for a T5 for this but didn't turn any up. It's a shame there are no scimitar SS1 turbos out there for sale.

If we make it sub 500 quid there's a 620ti on pistonheads for 275 quid. 0-60 in 7 seconds.

I now feel sick. I have just shouted at my boss that I may need leave this week, and I had lifted the handset. Gutted. I would have flown to where ever it is, bought it, drove it back up here and repaired it. I know a good welder who could have sorted all that work out. I would have drove it and then sold it next year at a massive profit.

Cheers TN. Bring a nice black cloud over my day
