Waynne this week you missed a african special basically the boys had to cross the spine of africa. through soft salt planes and a delta
only thing was they werent aloud 4 wheell drive

clarkson driving a lancia
may in a merc 230E
and hamster in the opel katet

all 3 made it without having to use the back up car in the form of a beetle

clarkson had lot of issues with starter solinoid take it
2 cubic feet of sand removed from the carb in one day

hamster literly flooded the car in the delta and had to spend the night stripping and rebuilding the engine

may had no mechanial problems abart from a bbq smell from the engine bay and a cow head in the boot

all to show that school run mums in surry dont need 4x4s to get up a path with a few leafs on it

Thanks for the update! Another great show I've missed.

So conclusive proof then that 4x4's are not required on our busy streets!

in my opinion if you want to buy a 4x4 you should have to show proof that you live in the country ( i mean real country not just the suburbs, or own a holiday home) or you own / work on a farm or holding
apart from that its a status thing my cars bigger than yours crud

now i have nothing wrong with the drivers that require then which is quite a lot round here. it is the ones who live in the cities and drive then solely up and down the motorway. closest they get to the offroading is looking at the hills along the motorway
