Default Sports Cats and Performance exhausts

Hi huys and girls,

Im thinking of fitting a sports cat and replacing the standard pipes with new stainless steel jobbie. I already have a nice loud back box but want to free up some horses.

Have any of you had any sucess with a sports cat etc?

I fitted a sports cat to My 220GTi and it was fantastic. I never regretted it at all there was more power and the engine seemed freer although I'd also done some other Modifications as well so can't say for sure how much was down to the sports cat.

Whilst your at it take of the exhaust manifold (header) and clean up the inside with a dremill taking off the lumps of casting and that will also help with power.

I went with the Powerflow full catback system.A fair amount of money to lay out,but it knocks the pants off the original set up.It gives me a nice discreet rumble at lower revs, but will roar/balk out if I want it to

Mine used to set car alarms off when I drove past at full throttle!
