yeah the wife had the same idea. she only changed the oil in the rover twice in 50k. still it want to bad till the head gasket went. the garage gave her a grand for it and hes still trying to get rid of it

good job a lot of salesmen dont know much about cars

I always had engine oil changed every 12,000 miles. And likewise the Pug, which specifies every 12,000 I usually have done every 10,000 because of the extra load the remap puts on it.

Having said that, I do use just about the best high perforamance diesel oil available and my Peugeot specialist says that I could happily leave it 20,000! I'm not that brave though
