Default Kicking Tyres!

Why do people kick tyres? Perhaps I'm missing the point but there is nothing that I can work out from a tyre kick? Am I doing it wrong or missing the point?

No information is recovered as a result of tyre kicking. Apart from the fact that they're there. Maybe.

Police panda car drivers like to do it.

Ask them why they kick tyres. Then ask them to refrain from doing so.

Comeday value is about all it's worth. When you get pulled aside from the road ask the copper if you may kick the tyres on their car.
