| insurance i know like, a saxo vtr is like,,, insurance group 6 i think, an an audi a4 1.8 is 13.
now the thing i dont know is what does the 13D or 13E mean, what do the letters stand for and why is it not on every level, i.e. 1 through to 20. or is it? i dont know. can some one explain it to me please |

| Re: insurance As far as I know, basically it cuts up the insurance more. So, if a Honda Civic Type R was say, group 16, and a... erm... Audi TT (For example) was also group 16, the Audi would still cost more than the Honda, because the Civic might be a 16D, and the Audi may be 16A
Basically its so the ****ers can fleece you more accurately. |

| Re: insurance It depends on the insurer sometimes they are terms. IE: Give a quote as per a group 15 car but only for drivers with 3 years no claims bonus and over 21.
The terms may also be higher loadings for certain age groups or higher excesses.
Years ago there were 9 groups now there are 20 and some insurers seems to want to increase this further!
