Default Highlights from 2006:-

What were YOUR news highlights from 2006 (Car news that was of interest to you)

Suggestions to start the ball rolling:-
New Mini launched, VW announce Iroc a relaunch of the Scirocco, Many other facelift cars were launched or announced. Was there a motorsport breakthrough that caught your attention or some amazing new modificiation or part. Or perhaps there was just something plain silly.
What would you vote for to have the title of the car of the year?

I think my best news as far as car announcements go would have to be Vauxhall announceing that they were Supercharging the Manaro up to 500bhp And also they announced that this year (2007) they would be realeasing a 600bhp version, YAHOO can't wait to see this beast lol.

Richard Hammonds crash was a stark reminder how dangerous motorsport can be. (I look forward to seeing the new Monaro as well!)

Dodge re-vamping the 1970 Challenger for release in 2008 and Chevrolet re-doing the 1969 Camaro.

Not exactly a car... But gets my vote anyway
